Happy February! Here's what's been going on with EWB Peru Team this month:
With your help, we raised over $2,600 in a 24-hour period for our #EWBuildTogether campaign. This will help us fund our safety equipment and labor costs. More importantly, it will help us bring clean water solutions to Maras, Peru. Thank you to everyone who has supported us and donated to our mission so far!
Missed the campaign? Check out our Instagram #EWBuildTogether highlight! If you would like to donate to our cause, please visit our fundraising page where you can donate to our team or to a specific team member.
The communications team has reached out to Blue Missions, a non-profit organization dedicated to connecting families with access to clean water. We are working to schedule a time for them to come to one of our general body meetings and hopefully develop a relationship with them.
The Nitty Gritty
We are finalists for a $10,000 Projects for Peace grant, and we will be notified if we received it in mid March.
Our communications team has been in constant contact with Emilio, a Peruvian engineer who collected soil data for us. The soil test results for the reservoir site came in this last Monday, and now we have a much better idea of what potential challenges we may face in the construction of the reservoir. The design team is working with the communications team to analyze the data.
Thank you to A&V Refrigeration and Florida Septic Inc. for sponsoring us! To learn more about our sponsorship benefits and how you and your company can get involved with our team, visit our sponsorship page.
